FG’s economic policies on track to address poverty, strengthen economy- Edun
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the economy Dr Wale Edun, has said the Federal Government’s economic policies are on track to address poverty, mismanagement of resources and strengthen the economy for national development.
Edun stated this during the opening ceremony of National Council On finance and Economic Development NACOFED 2024 currently holding in Bauchi State North East Nigeria.
Key Players in the National Economy that include the minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy Dr Wale Edun, permanent secretary of the ministry, Accountant General Of the federation, finance Commissioners as well as accountant generals from the thirty six states of the federation including FCT Abuja among others have converged on Bauchi for the 2024 National Council On finance and Economic Development NACOFED.
The minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy Dr Wale Edun said the meeting aimed to discuss and provide strategies for effective government economic policies for national development especially at this difficult moment.
Delivering his speech Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed appreciated the NACOFED for choosing Bauchi state to host the 2024 events saying some federal government eccomic policies can only be better in the future but requested for more inclusion and stakeholding so that collectively the challenges facing the country would be addressed.
The finance minister had earlier led the participants on a courtesy visit to Bauchi state Governor Bala Mohammed at the executive chamber of the Government House Bauchi.
