Fire guts Ogbomoso Local Government Secretariat

A fire on Thursday destroyed property worth millions of naira at the Ogbomoso Local Government Secretariat.
The Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the incident, saying the fire originated from the incinerator machine.
“Upon arrival, we found the incinerator machine on fire and swiftly swung into action,” he said. “The fire was contained and prevented from spreading to nearby buildings and property.”
No casualties were reported, according to the fire service.
Authorities are yet to determine the cause of the fire, and a post-incident investigation is ongoing.
