First Lady meets Oyo monarchs, rallies support for RHI

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Tuesday met with traditional rulers in Oyo State during her visit to the state capital, Ibadan.
She was earlier received by Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, ahead of the commissioning of the National Information Development Centre at Oladipo Alayande School of Science, Oke Bola, Ibadan.
The meeting with the monarchs was revealed in a statement by the Soun of Ogbomoso, His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, who described it as a meaningful engagement centered on the First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative.

The event, held at the Local Government House, Oyo State Secretariat, Agodi, brought together traditional rulers from across the state to deliberate on inclusive development and national unity.
“I had the distinct honour of being in the esteemed company of Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON,” the Soun stated, expressing gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, the First Lady, and Governor Makinde for their commitment to building a stronger and more inclusive Nigeria.
He also used the opportunity to advocate for better integration of Ogbomoso people into the First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative and pledged his full support for her vision.
According to him, only through inclusive programs and united efforts can hope be restored to families and communities nationwide.
The meeting also had in attendance other royal fathers including the Ooni of Ife and representatives of the Alaafin of Oyo.
