First Lady mourns slain Arise News anchor Somtochukwu Maduagwu

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Arise News anchor Somtochukwu Maduagwu, who was killed in Abuja during a robbery attack.

In a condolence message on Tuesday, the First Lady described Maduagwu as “one of the young and brilliant minds in the journalism profession” whose life was “cut short in her prime.”

She extended her sympathy to the Chairman of Arise Media Group, Chief Nduka Obaigbena, as well as to the journalist’s family, colleagues, friends, and loved ones.

Senator Tinubu expressed hope that security agencies will swiftly apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice, while praying for God’s comfort for the bereaved family.
