First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, assuring that the country is on the path to full recovery.
She made the remarks while hosting an Iftar gathering at the State House, Abuja, to mark the breaking of fast during Ramadan.

Speaking at the event, the First Lady emphasized the importance of compassion and mercy in human relationships, urging people to perform good deeds selflessly as acts of worship to Almighty Allah.

“The nation is on track and will get better. We must continue to do good, even when it is difficult, without seeking acknowledgment or validation,” she said.
Delivering the Iftar lecture, Professor Azeezat Adebayo, Head of the Islamic Studies Department at the University of Ilorin, highlighted the significance of compassion and mercy as fundamental principles of human interaction. She noted that Ramadan serves as a time to strengthen these values and encouraged extending kindness beyond religious boundaries.

Among the distinguished guests at the Iftar were former First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan, the wife of the Vice President, wives of state governors, female ministers, wives of ministers, and wives of service chiefs.
