First Lady Oluremi Tinubu visits family of late CoAS, offers condolences
The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, who passed away at the age of 56 after a period of illness.
Accompanied by the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, and the wife of the National Security Adviser, Hajia Ribadu, the First Lady was warmly received by Mrs. Oghogho Musa, wife of the Chief of Defence Staff.
During the visit, Senator Tinubu offered her prayers and condolences to the grieving family.
Addressing Mrs. Mariya Abiodun Lagbaja, the widow of Lt. General Lagbaja, and her children, Senator Tinubu shared words of comfort, urging them to find solace in the legacy he left behind.
She noted that the timing of one’s passing is ultimately in God’s hands and encouraged the children to remain steadfast and uphold the values their father stood for.
