Flutterwave partners with Tiwa Savage Music Foundation to support African creative talents

Flutterwave, one of Africa’s leading payments technology companies, has partnered with the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation to empower and develop emerging creative talents across the continent.

The announcement was made during the official launch of the foundation on Monday at The Delborough, Lagos, where prominent figures from Nigeria’s entertainment, business, and cultural sectors gathered to celebrate the initiative.

In a statement issued at the event, Flutterwave Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Olugbenga ‘GB’ Agboola, said the collaboration aligns with the company’s broader vision of connecting Africa with global opportunities.

The Tiwa Savage Music Foundation seeks to empower upcoming talents by providing access to music education, mentorship, and professional resources to help young creatives build sustainable careers in the industry.

Beyond supporting performers, the foundation is also designed to assist producers, composers, sound engineers, and other professionals whose roles are critical to the growth of Africa’s music ecosystem.

“At Flutterwave, our dream has always been to connect Africa to the world and the
world to Africa. Tiwa’s dream is to take Nigerian and African creative talent global.
These are not two separate dreams; they are the same dream. That is why this
partnership makes perfect sense,” Agboola said.

He added that the company had also made a financial contribution to support the foundation’s programmes, as Tiwa Savage expressed appreciation for the partnership, noting that African talents only need the right support, access, and infrastructure to thrive globally.

The launch attracted high-profile guests, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Layal Tinubu, Stanley Uzochukwu, Florence Ita Giwa, Mo Abudu, and music executive Don Jazzy, alongside representatives of the United States Consulate.
