Former Ondo Head of Service Toyin Akinkuotu passes on

A former Head of Service in Ondo State, Barrister Toyin Akinkuotu, has died. He passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

Western Post reports that Akinkuotu, a seasoned administrator, was also the founder of Lujama Heritage, an initiative reflecting his passion for cultural preservation and community development.

The Director of Accounts, Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, Alhaji Akinkunmi M.A. (Ph.D), in a tribute announcing his death, described him as a committed public servant whose impact on the state and its people will remain unforgettable.

“With a heavy heart, we announce the demise of our beloved brother, the brain behind Lujama Heritage, the former Head of Service, in the person of Barrister Toyin Akinkuotu, today, 11th September 2025.

“His legacy and contributions to the Ondo State Government and the Ondos will forever be remembered and cherished. May the good Lord grant him eternal rest,” the statement read.
