Former Ondo lawmaker Adefisoye, others disqualified from APC Reps primaries
The All Progressives Congress has disqualified former member of the House of Representatives representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Tajudeen Adefisoye, and others from participating in the forthcoming primary elections.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the party, the affected aspirants participated in the screening exercise conducted by its designated committees but failed to meet the requirements for clearance.
Although detailed information was not available at the time of filing this report, the APC stated that the screening process was conducted in line with the party’s guidelines and procedures for the selection of candidates.
It added that the exercise formed part of efforts to ensure transparency, credibility and strict adherence to internal party regulations ahead of the primaries.
