By Adejayan Gbenga –
The former First Lady of Oyo State, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at his Ibadan residence.
Mrs Ajimobi, widow of the late former governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, described the visit as an honour.
Sharing the moment on her verified Facebook page, she expressed admiration for the rich culture and traditions embodied by the Olubadan stool.
She wrote: “It was indeed a great honour to pay a courtesy visit to the new Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja. Our rich culture and tradition continue to stand tall through the throne of Olubadan, and I pray that His Imperial Majesty’s reign will be blessed with wisdom, peace, and lasting prosperity for the people of Ibadanland and beyond. Amen.”
The visit comes as Ibadanland prepares for the formal installation of Oba Ladoja as the new Olubadan.
