Four policemen injured in accident involving Osun Speaker’s convoy

At least four policemen attached to the Osun State Speaker, Adewale Egbedun, sustained various degrees of injuries in a road accident involving the convoy of the speaker.

The accident, which occured around Dagbolu area of Osogbo on Sunday was said to have involved one of the vehicle conveying the officers.

The Speaker, was said to be travelling to Inisa, Odo-Otin local Government area of the state when the accident happened.

Confirming the incident, the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Olamide Tiamiyu, said the affected vehicle had flat tyres, which led to the accident.

He said, the speaker was not involved in the accident, that he is hale and hearty, but four policemen sustained injuries in the accident.

Tiamiyu, said the officers were responding to treatment at Osogbo Central Hospital, Osogbo, adding that two of them had been discharged.
