FRSC announces major redeployment of top officers

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has initiated a major shake up among its top officers.

This was revealed in a statement issued on Tuesday by Corps Commander Charles Edem, Deputy Corps Public Education Officer.

According to the announcement, the FRSC Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu, approved the redeployment of two Deputy Corps Marshals and one Assistant Corps Marshal to important Departments and Corps offices in order to supplement the Corps’ existing efforts to create a safer driving environment.

The redeployment will take effect on January 15, 2024, when the ongoing Operation Zero Tolerance Special Patrol will come to a conclusion.

The redeployed senior officers: Deputy Corps Marshal Shehu Alkali Zaki, the erstwhile Deputy Corps Marshal in charge of Training Department, is to henceforth oversee the affairs of the Department of Operations, while the  former Corps Public Education Officer, Deputy Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem, is to proceed as the DCM in charge of Training Department at the National Headquarters, Abuja.

In addition, the Corps Marshal also approved the redeployment of the former Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Command Administration and Strategies, Assistant Corps Marshal Jonas Agwu, to take over the administration of the Corps Public Education Office, hitherto held by Deputy Corps Marshal Kazeem.

The Corps Marshal expressed trust in the newly redeployed senior officers’ ability and experience to carry out their mandate and charged them with bringing their professional skills for meaningful leadership.
