Glamour Girls’ remake to premiere on Netflix June 24

A remake of ‘Glamour Girls’, the 1994 Nollywood blockbuster, will premiere on Netflix on June 24.
The new film is directed by Chika Onukwufor, and will star Nse Ikpe-Etim, Sharon Oja, Joselyn Dumas and Toke Makinwa.
The streaming platform announced the release date via its Twitter page on Friday.
What lies beneath all the glitz and glamour?,” Netflix wrote.
The original version of the movie starred several Nollywood heavyweights, including Liz Benson, Ngozi Ezeonu, Eucharia Anunobi, Pat Attah, Ernest Obi, and Zack Orji, among others.
‘Glamour Girls’ follows the story of four independent single women who embarked on questionable jobs within Nigeria’s traditionally patriarchal society.
Charles Okpaleke, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of Play Networks, which produced the film, had spoken about the essence of ‘Glamour Girls’ remake.
“A story that would involve 3 generations of actresses. I’m going all out on this one!,” he wrote on Instagram.
