GM Lagos Materials Testing Laboratory Agency begins tour on structures across riverine communities

The General Manager of the Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory Agency (LSMTLA) Engr. Olayinka Abdul, has commenced a strategic developmental tour on structures across all riverine communities.

According to the GM, the tour was part of her Agency’s commitment in fulfilling its mandate of averting buildings’ disasters in Lagos State.

The expedition cutting across Communities as Sabo Koji, Itu – Agan, Igbo – Elejo, Ilashe, Igbo- Ologun , Ibasa, Ijegun -Abule Ado, White Sand ( Isheri Oshun) , Ese – Ofin, Egan Oromi, Irewe, Ilu- Ife, Badagry creeks , as well as Epe Waterside settlements of Lagos State, is targeted at ensuring that all forms of activities that aggravate buildings’ collapse are adequately curbed

Speaking on the initiative, Engr. Abdul disclosed that it is highly imperative to educate residents on the various peculiar building processes for constructing structures in areas which are prone to disasters.
