All 20 players of Nigeria’s U-17 national team, the Golden Eaglets, have successfully passed the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test ahead of the 2025 WAFU-B U-17 Boys Tournament.
The tests were conducted on Friday morning in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, the host city for this year’s tournament.
According to a statement from the Communications Department of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the MRI screenings were carried out by the CAF Medical Team to verify players’ eligibility in line with tournament regulations.
With this positive development, the Manu Garba-led team has fully settled in and shifted focus to the challenge ahead.
The Golden Eaglets will begin their campaign on Wednesday, September 24, against Benin Republic, before taking on Burkina Faso in their second Group B fixture.
Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger Republic, and Togo make up Group A of the competition.
