Gov AbdulRazaq celebrates Emir of Ilorin’s 29th year as monarch

On behalf of the government and people of Kwara State, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq extended heartfelt congratulations to the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Council of Chiefs, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on the 29th anniversary of his ascension to the throne of Sheikh Alimi.
The Governor highlighted the significant growth Ilorin has experienced under the Emir’s leadership over the past 29 years. He noted that the city has seen progress across various sectors and has gained national prominence, with an increase in population, harmony, and prestige, symbolized by notable landmarks across the southernmost emirate city.
The Governor’s message was conveyed in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Monday.
“We thank His Royal Highness for his strong leadership, his support for the people and government, and the grace with which he handles delicate matters of public importance,” said Governor AbdulRazaq.
He also prayed that Allah continues to guide the esteemed monarch, blessing him with good health, happiness, and lasting peace and harmony in his later years.
