Gov AbdulRazaq hails education adviser’s appointment to Federal Ministry

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has congratulated his Special Adviser on Education, Dr. Adetola Salau, on her appointment as Special Adviser on STEMM and Corporate Sector Engagement to the Honourable Minister of Education.
STEMM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine, and the new role positions Dr. Salau at the forefront of driving innovation and collaboration within Nigeria’s education sector.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Monday, Governor AbdulRazaq described the federal appointment as a recognition of Dr. Salau’s expertise, patriotism, and dedication to advancing STEM education in Nigeria and across Africa.
“We are proud of her modest contributions to our educational transformation in Kwara State, particularly in the area of STEM education,” the Governor said. “Her energy, team spirit, and expertise are some of her core assets. We are, indeed, glad to have her contribute to the education sector at a higher level.”
He expressed confidence that Salau will bring the same commitment and excellence to her new federal role, describing the appointment as well-deserved.
“Despite her transition to the Federal Ministry of Education, we will continue to have robust interactions with her as a STEM expert,” he added.
Dr. Salau, a Kwaran, previously served as a cabinet-level official in Kwara State and played a pivotal role in shaping policies and programs that expanded access to STEM education in the state.
Her new federal position will involve fostering partnerships between the Ministry of Education and corporate stakeholders, while advancing national STEMM initiatives to drive educational innovation and capacity building.
