Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has vowed to see the ongoing public service reform to its conclusion following the submission of the final staff audit report by Sally Tibot Consult.
The commitment was made in a recent statement by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed.
During the presentation at the Government House in Osogbo, lead consultant Mrs. Saadat Bakrin Ottun noted that the audit was conducted with thorough diligence and analysis, applying best practices to ensure the report’s integrity. The report includes actionable recommendations for the state government’s consideration.
Bakrin Ottun expressed gratitude to the state government for the opportunity and praised the labor unions for their cooperation and support during the audit process.
In response, Governor Adeleke immediately established an action committee chaired by Chief of Staff Hon. Kazeem Akinleye to review and implement the report’s recommendations.
“I thank the consultant for completing this crucial assignment. Our administration is dedicated to advancing public service reform.
“We have made significant strides in repositioning the public service, and I am motivated to continue this work with the full support of our public servants. We have received numerous commendations for our focus on workers’ welfare,” Adeleke stated.
The Governor emphasized his administration’s commitment to regularly paying salaries and repaying inherited salary and pension debts.
He further assured that the reform process is intended to benefit everyone and not to target individuals. “We are blocking all loopholes in the salary system for our collective good,” he added.
