Gov Fubara holds emergency security meeting, warns against attacks on supporters

Following recent political developments in Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has met with the heads of security agencies.
The meeting was held at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Governor Fubara said the purpose of the meeting was to devise strategies to curtail the invasion of local government secretariats following the expiration of the tenure of local council chairmen, vice chairmen and councillors.
He advised the outgoing council chairmen not to hold onto unrealistic expectations of returning to their previous roles.
Governor Fubara also warned those plotting to confront his loyalists against such a move.
