Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Oludofian of Idofian, Oba Muhammed Jamiu Omikunle II, describing the late monarch as a man of peace and a unifying figure in the community.

In a statement issued on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the people of Idofian in Ifelodun Local Government Area and the family of the deceased royal father.

Governor AbdulRazaq said the passing of the second-class monarch is an incalculable loss to the people of the town and the state at large, noting the monarch’s contributions to peace and stability during his reign.

He urged the family and the Idofian community to accept the development as the will of God and to remain comforted by the enduring legacy the late king leaves behind.

“The Oludofian was a man of peace who gave his best to promote unity and development in his community,” the statement quoted the governor as saying.

While acknowledging the late monarch’s impact within his short reign, AbdulRazaq called on the people to continue to uphold the values of harmony and collective progress he stood for.

The Governor prayed to Allaah to grant the late monarch al-Jannah Firdaus and to strengthen his family and the entire community during this period of mourning.
