Governor Adeleke signs Osun Park Management Bill into law

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has signed the Osun State Park Management Bill 2026 into law.
The governor signed the bill on Monday at the Government House, Osogbo, describing the legislation as a major step towards modernising the Osun transport system and creating a worthwhile experience for commuters and operators across the state.
Adeleke commended the Osun State House of Assembly for what he described as its proactiveness and dynamism in passing the legislation, saying the new law would provide a lasting solution to the perennial challenges confronting the state’s transportation park system.
“I applaud the House Speaker and members of the House for always acting in the best interest of the state. I have gone through the bill as passed by the House and I am convinced that it is the best solution to the perennial crisis and challenges facing the Osun transportation park system,” he said.
The governor assured stakeholders that implementation of the law would commence immediately, stressing that his administration would ensure that all interests were accommodated to promote efficient service delivery across the state.
Earlier, Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, said the House complied with its standing rules in processing and passing the bill, adding that the new law addressed concerns raised by residents over the management of the state’s transport parks.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi; Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye; Head of Service, Ayanleye Aina; members of the State Executive Council and other top government officials.
