Governor Zulum commends NCAA’s safety commitment under Capt. Najomo’s leadership

Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, has praised the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for its dedication to ensuring safety in the aviation sector, particularly under the leadership of Acting Director-General, Capt. Chris Najomo.
The governor made the remark during a courtesy visit to the NCAA headquarters in Abuja on Monday, October 15, 2024.
Governor Zulum acknowledged the improvements in compliance with flight regulations and safety measures since Capt. Najomo took office. He noted that the aviation authority has made significant strides in enforcing safety standards and protecting passengers across the country.

In response, Capt. Najomo emphasized that while his focus has been on promoting an “Ease of doing business” in the aviation sector, safety remains a top priority. “The complete mantra is ‘Ease of doing business without compromising safety,'” he stated, reaffirming his commitment to maintaining stringent safety protocols.
During the visit, Capt. Najomo also expressed condolences to Governor Zulum over the recent flood disaster in Borno State. He commended the governor for his developmental achievements in the region before both leaders proceeded to a private meeting to discuss areas of mutual collaboration.
