A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde has said that the second term ambition of Governor Dapo Abiodun would be a walk over.
The APC chieftain disclosed this on Monday, while speaking with journalists at Iperu Remo residence of Governor Abiodun, after a political support group, Dapo Abiodun Continuity Agenda (DACA) disclosed that it has raised N50million to purchase the second term nomination form for the governor.
Akintunde disclosed that the various giant strides of the present administration in road and infrastructural development, education, agriculture, housing, health, employment creation, among others have always strongly reinforce the strong conviction to allow the governor continue beyond 2023.
Akintunde said: “Governor Dapo Abiodun of our dear state has no doubt been exceptional with governance. Tthe developmental projects have been very huge across the state and just like scholarship is given to exceptionally brilliant students, some progressives across Remo land have also contributed the sum of N50million to buy the nomination form for the governor.
“It’s the least we all can do to ensure that the unprecedented development across the state continues beyond 2023.
“In terms of mobilisation, our group, Dapo Abiodun Continuity Agenda (DACA) has been doing a lot of work in this regard, we have left no stone unturned in all the 20 local governments and the agenda is to ensure a seamless second term for our hardworking governor, our target is to mobilise at least 10,000 votes for the governor in each of our 20 local governments.
“In fact those who want to contest against the governor are losers already because you just don’t disband a performing team. Really, it’s becoming clearer every day that Governor Abiodun’s second term is already a walkover.”
