Gunmen storm Ogun event Center, kill Babcock lecturer, kidnap two

According to reports, Eight gunmen wearing all black stormed the Ajadeh Event Centre in Iperu Remo along Sagamu Road where they killed Yinka Olowojobi, a lecturer at Babcock University Ilisan Remo, and kidnapped two other people in the process.

According to a statement released on Monday by the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, the event occurred on Friday, April 19 at around 9:20 p.m.

Olowojobi was reported to have resisted the gunmen and was then shot in the chest.

The murdered Babcock University lecturer, one Dare, and an unidentified kidnapped person were reportedly lounging in the event centre’s lounge when the gunmen attacked.

Odutola, however, stated that one Awada Ishaya from Plateau State had been identified by the police as a suspect in the crime.

Ishaya started working as a security guard at the event centre two weeks ago when the centre opened for business.
