H1 2022 results: NGX approves 30-day extension to GTCO

The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) has granted Guaranty Trust Holding Company (GTCO) 30-day extension to release its audited half year ended June 30, 2022 financial statement to investing public.
All the quoted companies are required to comply with some rules and regulations, including strict adherence to high disclosure standards as prescribed in the NGX listing rules.
NGX listing requirement mandates listed companies to submit their quarterly financial statement, not later than one month after the last day of the quarter. It also mandates companies to submit their audited annual financial statements not later than three months after the last working day of the financial year.
The Group company secretary,/General Counsel, GTCO, Erhi Obebeduo in a statement on Wednesday said: “Kindly be informed that the company’s half-year audited financial statements for the period ended June 30, 2022 was approved by the board of directors on July 30, 2022, but the approval of the primary regulator is required before release of the half year result to the market.
“In view of the foregoing, the company has requested an extension of time from NGX to publish its half year and NGX graciously approved a thirty-day extension beyond the regulatory filing date.
“However, kindly be assured that if the approval is received earlier, the company’s half year results would be released to the market earlier than the period approved by the NGX.”
