The Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, has commenced engagements with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to review the Q1–Q3 2024 Performance Assessment Report on the implementation of Presidential Priorities and Ministerial Deliverables.
Her first stop on the review tour was the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, where she met with Dr. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, the Head of Civil Service, alongside Permanent Secretaries and Directors.

During the engagement, Bala Usman emphasized the critical role of the civil service in driving effective governance, describing it as the “backbone and lifeblood of any government.”
She highlighted the importance of civil servants in ensuring a functioning administration and urged them to prioritize improved documentation, data quality, and evidence-based practices to enhance performance.

“The civil service is fundamental to the success of any government. Without its dedication and efficiency, no administration can achieve its goals,” Bala Usman stated.
She also encouraged civil service leaders to intensify efforts to modernize the institution, ensuring it is equipped to meet the demands of contemporary governance.
The Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU), under Bala Usman’s leadership, is spearheading the review process as part of the administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability in delivering on its promises to Nigerians.
