Hamzat engages LJLA fellows on critical role of mindset in public governance

The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, has said a leader’s mindset is the foundation upon which decisions, strategies, and governance frameworks are built.
Hamzat made this assertion in a recent engagememt with the second cohort of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, LJLA, Fellows on the critical role of mindset in governance.

The Deputy Governor said: “Without the right mindset – one that embraces resilience, accountability, and innovation—leadership becomes reactive rather than proactive, limiting its ability to drive meaningful change.”

On his part, Executive Secretary of LJLA Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, who engaged the Fellows, said: “This session provided invaluable insights into the realities of leadership.

“I am confident that our Fellows will carry forward these lessons, applying them in their journeys toward impactful governance.”
