Has Kaduna decided the contest so early? By Aliyu Audu

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been in the news the last few hours and many wonder why but the answer is simply because Mallam Nasir el-Rufai in his trademark style has set a new standard of receiving the presidential aspirant in states.

We have seen many aspirants visit states and attribute what was never said to influential individuals in the state visited but el-Rufai and his statutory delegates didn’t want to be misrepresented or under-reported.

One can only imagine what to expect from Niger, Kano , Katsina and Borno if one is to be modest and list a few so we don’t come across as showboating but then again like Fela said in his song “Water no get enemy”. Asiwaju is Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo packed in one, you can’t hate them for being so good even if the world pitch you against them and you get to experience their maverick up close.

So the only question on the lips of the neutrals and fencists is ” Is there still a contest?” Is there still a contest?

Should all the aspirants at this point not throw in the towel?
Even Dino knows nobody leaves candidate to follow aspirants even if they are so close to you. If anyone who truly understands politics ever thought of contesting against Asiwaju for the APC ticket willingly, cajoled, tricked or forced, they should decide now if it is still a worthy gamble.

They can waste much more than N100 million if they insist.
Asiwaju is now going round the country to get first hand information on the concerns of party faithful and Nigerians so he can look into his already perfect governance executable files and run updates. Asiwaju is better prepared now than ever for the all important role of delivering prosperity to Nigeria and Nigerians.

He delivered on the toughest political tasks of his life; resisting the impunity of the PDP and  ending the disastrous runs in 2015. We are confident  he will consolidate on the gains made so far since our party took over power at the centre.
