Heavy traffic as Oil tanker falls on Lagos road

A heavy traffic delay was experienced by motorists as a tanker laden with oil in transit overturned on a major road in the Ojuelegba area of Lagos.

Emergencies authorities, however, said no casualties were recorded as efforts had been in top gear to clear the area.

According to them, “both driver and assistant escaped unhurt and in good hands at the scene of the accident”.

In sharp contrast, despite the inherent danger, some residents of the area were spotted scooping the contents of the truck which had spilled into the road.
