Homosexuality: Menuba Uzochukwu Alphonsus narrates ordeal

One person, Menuba Uzochukwu Alphonsus, born May 03, 1991 has narrated his orderal of engaging in Homosexuality in Nigeria.
Alphonsus, born in Abagana in Njikoka local government in Anambra state of Nigeria said he is not married and has no child.
On why he flee Nigeria, he said, “I used to be a homosexual, and I have been humiliated, isolated and excommunicated from people of Amaenye. I fled my country, Nigeria, for the safety of my life.”
According to him, on January 04, 2025, he fled Nigeria and entered France on January 5, 2025 when he felt insecure staying in his place of birth.
He explained further that, “Ugochukwu Anierobi introduced me to homosexuality at my tender age. It was on 08/01/2024 when some angry crowd with some vigilante group of my village approached me that I was needed at our village council hall by elders-in-council of Amaenye village for questioning.
“The vigilant group including some irate youths of my village lead me to our village council hall where som elders in-council of Amaenye village were present and was headed by the king of Amaenye village by His royal Majesty Igwe Patrick Mbamalu Okeke, who told me that my matters of homosexuality on August 30, 2008 and that of 2006, were made to known to him that he the king, and elders-in-council of Amaenye village have decided that I shall leave Amaenye village and not to come back or I shall bee killed.
“For me not to introduce other Amaenye youths into homosexuality.”
He stated that the irate crowd of my village promised to kill me if I return to my village, stressing that my story with my partner, Emmanuel Ilozue is known to them.
He said further that, “ I moved to Enugu Ukwu Town and stayed with Emmanuel Ilozue who is also a homosexual and continued homosexuality with him.
“I was on 02/08/2024 when I received information that my partner, Emmanuel Iiozue has been arrested by Nigeria Police and they are also looking for me to be arrested for being homosexual.
“I became so afraid of my life, and I decided to flee Nigeria for the safety of my life. I moved to Lagos where I got Visa to Europe and I entered from France.
“I shall not return to Nigeria because I have been humiliated, isolated and excommunicated from the people oof Amaenye, my village and the rest of my family members. And some angry crowd of my village has promised to kill me if I return to my village.
“The Nigeria Police are looking for me to be arrested, and the Nigerian government shall put me in Prison once I land in Nigeria. My life shall be in danger if I return to Nigeria.”
