Hon. Akala inspires young athletes with sports empowerment program in Ogbomoso

The lawmaker representing Ogbomoso South, North, and Orire Federal Constituency, of Oyo State, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, has launched the first-ever sports empowerment program.
The event was held at the Soun Township Stadium in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
On his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Hon. Alao-Akala stated that the goal of the program was to inspire young athletes and cultivate a vibrant sports culture within the constituency.
As Chairman of the House Committee on Youths Parliament, Hon. Alao-Akala provided essential sports kits, including football jerseys, soccer boots, and balls, to selected and registered football clubs in the constituency.
In addition, golf training kits were presented to the Ogbomoso Golf Club, and game management equipment—such as linesmen flags, corner flags, referee jerseys, whistles, cards, and durable goalpost nets—were provided to the Ogbomoso Football Association to support local football development.
The lawmaker emphasized that the initiative was not only about distributing sports equipment but also an investment in the dreams and talents of young people.
Hon. Alao-Akala expressed hope that the program would go a long way in promoting sporting activities and nurturing the vibrant youth of Ogbomoso.
