Hoodlums injure WesternPost reporter during attack on Sanwo-Olu’s press crew bus

A reporter with WesternPost, Adeola Ogunrinde, was on Sunday injured when hoodlums attacked the press crew bus of the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The bus was attacked by hoodlums after presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu visited the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu.

WesternPost had reported that Tinubu was visiting Lagos for the first time since winning the presidential ticket of the APC.

He had earlier been received by a crowd who welcomed him at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.

According to Ogunrinde, the hoodlums attacked the bus containing journalists which was driving alone.

The hoodlums who threw stones and other dangerous objects injured Ogunrinde on her face, while another journalist was also injured.

“Tinubu’s convoy had already left after visiting Oba Akiolu. The Governor’s office press crew bus was alone moving behind without any security vehicle following it. The hoodlums apparently took advantage that the bus was alone and with the frustration of not getting money attacked us by throwing stones and bricks and other objects at us.

“I’m fine and on my way home,” she said.
