Rema helped me during my drug episode, Crayon reveals

Mavin signee Crayon has shared how fellow artist Rema supported him during a difficult period of drug addiction, which led to his admission to a psychiatric hospital.
The young singer recounted how he nearly lost his life, but Rema stepped in, ensuring he was hospitalized while offering comfort and reassurance about his future.
He said, “One day, my manager saw me and was alarmed by my condition. He asked what was wrong, and I told him I had only smoked weed.
“Then I started acting crazy. Suddenly, I found myself walking barefoot to the Mavin studio. I feel like I’m God’s favorite because no one recorded me during the episode. If someone had, it would have messed with my confidence, my career, everything.
“When I got to the Mavin studio gate, I sat in front of it, feeling exhausted. I took off my shirt and smashed my iPhone. Calls started coming in—Rema, Baby Fresh, and everyone was asking what was wrong with me. I just kept saying I was tired.
“Rema drove over, ready to help. I was lying on his lap, and he said, ‘Bro, trust me, once you get through this, you’ll come out stronger because this feels like the final battle you’re fighting.’
“I couldn’t recognize anyone, but I remember those words. It got so bad I almost jumped out of a moving car. It was crazy—similar to Mohbad’s situation.
“They eventually took me to a psychiatric hospital in Lekki. It was a deep experience, but after everything, I recovered and later went to Don Jazzy’s house.”
