Hundreds of supporters welcome Obasa into Lagos after impeachment
Hundreds of supporters on Saturday welcomed the ousted Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, at the Speaker’s lodge in Ikeja GRA.
The supporters who were seen carrying placards with various inscriptions such as ‘Obasa, the undisputable leader’, ‘Asiwaju leader of our leader’, and many more, sang his praises.
some of the supporters were majorly from Agege and Alimosho local governments.
It would be recalled that Obasa was impeached by 32 lawmakers on January 13, 2025.
The lawmakers thereafter elected her deputy speaker, Rt (Hon) Mojisola Lasbat Meranda as the new Speaker.
Meanwhile, the lawmakers had accused Obasa of high-handedness, abuse of power, and lateness to plenary sessions.
