‘I don’t believe in marriage or baby mamas’ – Lil Kesh

Former YBNL rapper Lil Kesh has revealed why he doesn’t believe in marriage, saying he has no plans to settle down or father a child outside wedlock.

The 31-year-old artist explained that he isn’t against commitment but doesn’t think marriage works. “Marriage? Maybe, later. But for now, I’m not of that mindset. I’m also not going to intentionally make anyone my baby mama,” he said.

“It’s not like I don’t want to get married because I want to be free or be a playboy—I just don’t believe in marriage. They don’t work. Have you seen the rate of divorces? I’ve seen a lot of unhappy marriages. That doesn’t mean there aren’t happy ones, but I want a happy home, and I don’t feel like I can do that yet.”

He added, “I’m not going to jeopardise anyone’s happiness just because I have to get married.”

Speaking on his relationship status, Lil Kesh said, “I’m currently single. I’ve been single for a long time. I broke up with my last girlfriend because I figured out that I could do better on my own, especially when it came to my career and priorities.”

“It would be nice to find someone who would make me compromise,” he continued, “but I’m not intentional about dating right now. If I’m dating you, I’ll have to make time for you. I’m no longer a kid—I’m 31.”

He concluded by saying he is fortunate not to face pressure from his parents. “They’ve made peace with the fact that I am different.”
