Award-winning Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage has opened up about her love life, revealing that women make advances toward her more often than men.
In a recent interview on Beat 99.9 FM, the singer expressed her confusion regarding this trend. “I do not know why, but a lot more women hit on me than men. I really don’t understand it,” she said.
The 44-year-old hitmaker also addressed fan opinions suggesting she should be included in the Afrobeats “big 4,” a title typically reserved for Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido.
Confident in her talent, Tiwa asserted that her skills on the mic surpass those of her male counterparts. “Do not get me started because if we were to compare talent for talent, mic for mic, I am the big one. If we look beyond the numbers or whatever criteria you use to judge the big 3, you cannot see me on the mic. I’m sorry, but that’s just the way it is,” she added.
