The Ibadan Mogajis, who are heads of the various families of indigenes of Ibadan, led by the Aare Egbe Mogaji, Asimiyu Ariori, paid homage to the Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, as per Ibadan tradition following his nomination.

This visit, which took place on Thursday, April 25, showcased the continued reverence and respect of the executive committee of the Mogajis and representatives from the five local government areas within Ibadan city towards the incoming 43rd Olubadan.

During the visit, Aare Egbe Mogaji, Asimiyu Ariori, expressed the support of the Mogajis for the monarch and extended prayers for his health and longevity during his reign.

Additionally, he sought permission for the Mogajis to visit the Otun Balogun, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, under tradition, reminiscent of past practices after the nomination of previous Olubadans.

In response, the Olubadan-designate granted the Mogajis’ request, expressing gratitude for their visit and offering prayers for their aspirations along their journey to the Olubadan throne.

In his remarks, Chief Osuolale Owolabi, representing the Olakulehin family and the monarch, conveyed appreciation to the Mogajis for their support and adherence to tradition.
