If Israel attacks Iranian territory, all of Israel will be ruined – Iran’s president

According to Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi, any Israeli attack on Iranian soil has the potential to completely upend the “Zionist regime” and leave it in ruins.

According to the official IRNA news agency, Raisi commenced a three-day visit to Pakistan on Monday and committed to increasing trade between the two countries to $10 billion annually.

In the wake of this year’s unprecedented tit-for-tat military strikes, the two Muslim neighbours are attempting to restore relations.

Iran fired a flurry of missiles and drones at Israel on April 13, claiming it was in revenge for Israel’s alleged deadly attack on a consulate building in Damascus on April 1. However, nearly all of the missiles were shot down.

In response to reports that Israel was attacking a missile defence system, explosions were audible over the Iranian city of Isfahan on Friday. However, Tehran downplayed the event and stated it had no intentions to retaliate.

Israel’s initial plan for retaliation against Iran envisaged a considerably larger counterstrike on military targets, including those close to Tehran, according to a New York Times report published on Monday.

“Such a broad and damaging attack would have been far harder for Iran to overlook, increasing the chances of a forceful Iranian counterattack,” the paper said.

Although numerous of its officials have hinted at guilt, Israel has not formally accepted credit for the counterstrike. Iran has downplayed the importance of the reaction and refrained from blaming Israel explicitly, which the Times claimed was being seen as “Iranian reluctance to respond.”

“The Islamic Republic of Iran will honourably continue to support the Palestinian resistance,” Raisi added in the speech in Lahore, referring to aiding Hamas as it wages war against Israel in Gaza.

After nearly six months of fighting in the Gaza Strip, where Israel launched an unprecedented offensive after thousands of terrorists led by Hamas stormed the country’s south on October 7 to kill nearly 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and take over 250 hostages, Iran and Israel’s decades-long shadow war finally came to light.

Iran’s proxies in Yemen and Lebanon have also targeted Israel since October 7, claiming that Israel is aiding the Palestinians in Gaza.

Iran also provides financial and logistical support to the leaders of Hamas in Gaza.
