Ikorodu City, Abia Warriors clash as ValueJet pre-season heats up

Action continues today as Matchday Four fixtures of the 2025 ValueJet Pre-season Tournament heat up at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.
In the first match of the day, Ikorodu City, who narrowly missed a continental ticket last season after finishing fourth, will face Abia Warriors, who finished third to deny the Lagos side a CAF Confederation Cup spot.
The second fixture will see Kwara United of Ilorin battle Rivers United of Port Harcourt, with the match scheduled to kick off at 2 p.m.
Rounding off the day’s fixtures is the Southwest derby between hosts Remo Stars—who were trounced 4-0 by Ikorodu City on Tuesday—and Shooting Stars of Ibadan.
On Wednesday, Shooting Stars played two matches, starting with a rescheduled fixture against Abia Warriors which ended 2-2, before later losing 1-3 to Rivers United in the evening.
