The newly installed Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Adebayo Adegbola, has pledged to tackle societal challenges and resolve lingering divisions within Eruwa Town.
The monarch made the commitment during his coronation ceremony on Saturday at the Eleruwa Stadium, Sango, Eruwa, Oyo State.
“To my people of Eruwa, I will not pretend to be unaware of the societal challenges of our time or the festering divisions driven by competition for positions and advantages. We will address these issues squarely and mend our fences in truth and honesty,” Oba Adegbola said.
He called for cooperation, civility, and decency in resolving differences, stressing the need for unity to foster peace and progress.
“I seek peace, cooperation, and friendship—not vendetta or vindictiveness. May the spirit of our ancestors and the divine purpose of Almighty God guide us towards enduring peace and harmony,” he added.
The monarch also pledged to work closely with the youth, harnessing their energy for the growth and development of Eruwaland.
