I’m in politics to contribute to Kwara’s development -Dep gov candidate

Labour Party deputy governorship candidate in Kwara State, Mrs. Ronke Ehindero said her motive for venturing into politics was to contribute her quota to the development of her state and makes life better for the people.
Ehindero is contesting with Basambo Abubakar, the LP candidate for the 2023 governorship election in the state.
Speaking in an interview with WesternPost in Ilorin on Wednesday, Ehindero, who is the Director of a non-governmental organisation, said she is contesting on the platform of LP because its manifesto aligns with her belief and leadership style.
She expressed optimism that LP will be victorious come 2023 because it is the only party with programmes that address all the issues that are fundamental to the survival of Nigeria as a nation.
She noted that Kwara State is ready for a woman deputy governor “because the awareness of women in politics is getting lots of attention even from male counterpart, and they are willing to trust women with position of leadership.”
She added: “My journey into politics can be summarize in one word which is passion for a better Kwara, which I always believe can be better than the present state.
“My motive for going into politics boils down on contributing to development of my state and making life better for the people of my state.
“My purpose for contesting for deputy governorship seat, is because this is the best my party can offer me for now.”
