‘Insecurity, poverty have exploded since Tinubu took over’ — Babachir Lawal

Former Secretary to the Federal Government, Babachir Lawal, has sharply criticized the current administration of President Bola Tinubu, saying insecurity and poverty have worsened significantly since Tinubu assumed office.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Wednesday, Lawal accused Tinubu’s government of failing to address the country’s escalating challenges.

Lawal argued that insecurity has expanded into areas previously unaffected and claimed the economy has collapsed, leaving even those who were once financially stable feeling threatened.

He described the government’s economic policies as ineffective, accusing officials of spending money on “intangible things” rather than real development.

The former official further suggested that the current administration lacks genuine intention to improve the nation, warning that Tinubu’s government appears determined to undermine Nigeria’s security and economy.

He further urged Nigerians to recognize what he called a deliberate effort to destabilize the country under the guise of governance.
