International Day of Happiness: ‘Use your voices to uplift, unite, First Lady urges Nigerians

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to use their voices both online and offline to promote unity, kindness and inspiration across the country.

In her message to mark the 2026 International Day of Happiness on Friday, Tinubu emphasised the importance of using social media responsibly to encourage positive engagement and national cohesion.

“Let us use our voices, both online and offline, to uplift, inspire, and unite. Let us teach our children that happiness grows when it is shared,” she said.

The First Lady noted that the theme for this year’s commemoration, Caring and Sharing, highlights the need for empathy, compassion and collective responsibility in building a more harmonious society.

She urged Nigerians to promote kindness in their interactions and help create a society where happiness is strengthened through mutual care and support.
