The Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira, has embarked on a significant infrastructural endeavor with the commencement of the construction and interlocking of Adeyemi Street in Ijeshatedo.

This was contained in a statement made available to the media on Thursday by the LG council.

According to the statement, the initiative underscores the LCDA’s dedication to bolstering local infrastructure, facilitating accessibility, and stimulating development in the region.

By prioritizing road construction, the LCDA aims to alleviate transportation hurdles and cultivate a more hospitable environment for residents and businesses.

It also disclosed that in tandem with the road construction project, Apatira’s administration has placed emphasis on the rehabilitation and maintenance of culverts across various communities within the LCDA.

While noting that culverts play a pivotal role in managing water flow, averting flooding, and ensuring the longevity of road structures, the LCDA seeks to fortify drainage systems, diminish the likelihood of water-related calamities, and enhance the overall robustness of local infrastructure.

The statement asserted that the proactive measures by the Chairman and the Itire-Ikate LCDA reflect a steadfast commitment to addressing critical infrastructure deficiencies within the community.

“By investing in road construction and culvert rehabilitation, the LCDA are laying a solid foundation for sustainable progress, enhanced living standards, and economic growth for present and future inhabitants,” it added.
