It’s turn of Kogi West to produce Governor- Faleke

The Secretary of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC, PCC), Hon. James Faleke, has said that Kogi West Senatorial District deserves to produce the next governor of the state.

Faleke explained that giving all parts of the state a sense of belonging is key to peaceful coexistence among the several ethnic groups in Kogi.

The fourth time lawmaker in the House of Representatives made the call in a statement titled; ‘Zoning next governorship seat to Kogi West is the just and equitable thing to do’ which he personally signed.

Faleke stressed that the east senatorial district had held sway for 16years and that after the tenure expiry of Bello, the central senatorial district would have ruled for 8years uninterrupted.

” It is time for Kogi West to produce governor. My position is not premised on any entitlement but on the ideals of equity and fairness which late Abubakar Audu preached before his untimely death.

“We must eschew things that could continually engender bitterness, distrust and disunity amongst us especially when deciding on who should be the chief Executive of this great state.

“What should be of importance is our collective quest and preparedness to engender a united Kogi State for socio-political and economic prosperity.

“As a party, we must go into the November 2023 election with a common sense of purpose devoid of insensitive and unbridled ambition.

” I appeal to Alhaji Yahaya Bello to recall the circumstances of his ascension to power and do all within his sense of reasoning as the leader of the party in the State to ensure Kogi West produces the next governor,” Faleke said.
