Iyabo Ojo regrets Mohbad’s exhumation

Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has expressed regret over the exhumation of late singer Mohbad’s body.
In an interview on the ‘Talk to B’ podcast, Ojo reflected on the burial delays and ongoing disputes within Mohbad’s family, stating that she would not have requested his exhumation if she had known how the situation would unfold.
“I wouldn’t have requested that Mohbad be exhumed if I knew his case would turn out this way. He hasn’t been buried yet. His dad says he wants a DNA test, and I heard the court granted his request, but now I hear his dad has set more conditions,” Ojo explained.
She further added, “I just wanted Mohbad’s body exhumed for an autopsy to determine the cause of his death. I did my best to ensure that everyone was properly investigated, but when different theories emerged, DNA became more important to them.”
Mohbad was pronounced dead on September 12, 2023, and buried the same day. However, his body was exhumed by the Lagos State Police for an autopsy on September 21, 2023.
