The governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said the return of the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olajide Adediran known as Jandor, to the All Progressives Congress (APC) brings added value to APC’s renewed vision for inclusive governance.
A statement issued by Jandor’s Spokesman, Gbenga Ogunleye, said Sanwo-Olu made this assertion on Tuesday while hosting Jandor and his Lagos4Lagos Movement at the Lagos House in Ikeja.
Sanwo-Olu commended his decision to realign with the party’s progressive ideals and contribute to the continued development of Lagos State.
During the meeting, Sanwo-Olu expressed his excitement at Jandor’s return, describing him as a talented practical politician who through his doggedness and clarity of vision upturned the political terrain in the state.
“I am pleased to receive JANDOR today and to welcome him back to the APC family. Lagos belongs to all of us, and I respect him for his willingness to change the status quo. It is heartening to see leaders who are passionate about the state’s progress reunite for the greater good,” Governor Sanwo-Olu stated.
“We look forward to meaningful collaboration as we continue working to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Lagos.”
The governor emphasized that the APC remains committed to accommodating diverse voices and talents within its fold.
Meanwhile, Adediran appreciated the governor for his magnanimity and candour in politics and governance.
He assured him of the total support of the Lagos4Lagos Movement to actualize the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure that his well intended reform programmes are sustained.
