Jonathan is still our member, says PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PD), says former President Goodluck Jonathan has not informed the party that he has resigned his membership.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba said this on a Channels TV Programme, Sunrise Daily.
He was reacting to stories that Jonathan had secured the nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the 2023 presidential election.
A Fulani group had reportedly bought the N100million forms for Jonathan. The ex-president however through his media aide, distanced himself from the group.
“As far as today, I am not aware of his resignation from the membership of the party [PDP]” Ologunagba said.
“I would assume it is safe to say that he is a member of the party, if events follow thereafter, we can speak to that.
“Membership of the party is personal. Membership of the party is at the ward level.
“I can’t speak for him. I don’t speak for the former president.”
