JUST IN: Ikeja military cantonment renamed after late COAS Lagbaja

The Ikeja Military Cantonment, Ikeja, Lagos has been renamed ‘T. A. Lagbaja Cantonment’ in honour of late Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen. Christopher Musa and other service chiefs attended the event in Lagos.

Lagbaja was appointed Chief of Army Staff on June 19, 2023, by President Tinubu. He passed away on November 5, 2024
