JUST IN: President Tinubu meets President Xi Jinping in Beijing

…set to sign key bilateral agreements

President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing as part of his official visit to the People’s Republic of China.

The meeting follows detailed briefings from his ministers and key government officials.

During the visit, Tinubu, who arrived in China on Sunday, is expected to sign five Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with the Chinese government, marking the beginning of several bilateral engagements.

The MOUs will cover areas such as the green economy, agriculture, satellite technology, media enterprise development, blue economy, and national planning cooperation.

Upon his arrival, President Tinubu inspected a guard of honour at the Great Hall of the People, laid a wreath in honour of fallen heroes, and received a 21-gun salute.

These agreements aim to strengthen the partnership between Nigeria and China, focusing on mutual economic and technological advancements.
